December Hokkaido - Sapporo

  • Mar. 3rd, 2012 at 2:41 PM
A impromtu trip to Hokkaio 25-31 Dec 2011.
Grand Sapporo Hotel main stay.
First time visit you can obtain a welcome pass from JR station, we got ourselves a otaru pass & a day pass fo the local train ride.
Good services from station staff and they speak many languages.

Arrival View from JR station, we are figuring out how to get to our grand sapporo hotel. Little did we know there's underground walk way directly to our hotel, operates from 630am to 1200 midnite.

25 Dec evening around approx 9+pm, after 8hrs to Tokyo Narita airport (1610hrs) + 1hr 40mins internal flight to Chitose (2020hrs) + 35mins of trains ride to Sapporo.

This is the underground walk way, a very long stretch of underground from JR station to another train station. I was wondering why there are so few people walking in the street, this is the answer to my mystery. This underground has it operating time, we still had to walk on the street when we depart from our hotel as hotel's underground opens at 630am -.-lll clean & hard to find a rubbish bin also.

Susukino Mall

These sheltered malls are shoppers' delights.

everything looks so beautiful in the snow..

Finally we found the famous ramen street..could miss it if not looking.

stretch of uch vending machine is popular in Japan. From food, drinks to cigarette.

Nijon Fish market - fresh seafood for the local and tourists can geta try if you are lucky.

Crabs in season!

The train has stopped operating..Malaysia had returned this piece of land to Singapore..

Trying to be part of the history..some traces of strangers..

Picture taken by me..was trying to capture by playing with aperture mode..

Some were there to catch its last glory..some were reminiscing..

Evening shots..more traces by strangers..

Thanks to this lovely couple allowing me to have this shot..
the guy took many shots while they try to get their picture perfect shot.

Revisit Macau in details

  • Dec. 9th, 2010 at 2:21 PM

Contemplating of bringing my camera, going to Macau for the fifth time (Dec2010).
A little bored,bt still look forward to spend time with my family(in-laws&hubby).
I believed i can go deep into exploring the places and take more pictures.
jezz will bring her Sony Nex-5 she bought for her japan tripnot too long ago, its paranomic shots function & its colours'r great,im looking forward to try that out.
Had to stood outdoor the last time for 3hours or more for getting the angles and shot, the chilling weather and dimly lit environment makes my shooting less appealling. Merci, jezz for the patience of waiting for an amatuer photographer like myself.
Hopefully can catch the glimpse of the new galaxy hotel, next to Venetian& Hard rock this time round.

After inspired by photoXplorer in TLC channel, i shall try capturing the essence of my subject matters and the culture.
Will go ahead with the camera and trying out the different lens..

places to fulfill soon via backpacking,
Paris (lourve & buildings), Australia( the nature & dessert), Japan( nature and food), China (the mountains)...

The world is a beautiful place.

Macau Dec 2009

  • Jan. 14th, 2010 at 11:31 PM

22- 24th December 2009
details to be continued...

Was at millenia walk when the wishes counter asking for well-wishers decided to pen down my wishes for all..
these white balls will be placed on the Singapore river during christmas and new year.
I cant recall how many they need though..approximate 20 thousands ?
I wish many are aware of the danger we'r facing if we'r not doing our part fighting global warming.
I wish the earth is a better place to live, no war, no global warming and hope economy picking up soon. God Bless all!

Travel tip

  • Mar. 30th, 2009 at 4:37 PM
Beside reading up about the places u want to visit,do pack everything you always have with you(small littel things like earpieces,sunblock..etc)
Most importantly pray for maximum safety for the maximum fun!

We took a 4hrs jetstar to Macau during this march hols, i expected a little holiday family crowds..
Thank God, not many childrens on board/bump into many family crowds,
However, We come across a middle-aged lady who carried a nikon camera(juz a description) who YAKE non-stop in the 4hrs plane, worst she sat right behind me.. -.- sobs!
Having to sit in a crampy plane with little leg space+no other entertainment+no food,
all we can do is trying to catch some zZ..I cant have that entitlement, due to her incessant talking!

I took a peek between my seat wondering if she's crazy talking to herself..OMG!
She was talking across to her friend(her couple travel companion) where her 'assuming' husband who sat between them..cant he change seat with her?
He can really put up with her conversations..another crazy person..
That's not it, she let up her window panel up as the sun glare shot right directly onto passengers sitting around her..
i took a magazine to block that rays pass my seat & of coz she didnt get the hint..
I almost stood up to get her to shut up, of coz my 'civilised' hubby stopped me..thts' 2nd regret for the trip.(1st regret didnt pack our sunglasses into my bagpack)
Anyway, we ended chuckling when we touched down as tht INCONSIDERATE woman shared her view loudly about how inconsiderate of other to have their handphone on as the plane touch down..and she continue yakking...Kettle calling kettle black?!

I finally experience how 'ugly' my fellow citizen behaves when they are abroad.*sigh*.This situation is exactly like when a passenger broastcast their hp music loudly ln a train/bus ride. We'r still a long way to go talking about consideration.  I was praying i dont see her when we return & we didnt..On 2nd thought i dont mind bump into her again, coz i'll tell her off / 'blast' my hp music if i sat behind her or infront of her (dont think i'll do tht) then i wont blog about it..Guess i'll pack my earpieces for mp3 players & bring psp along to every trip, never take it for granted or be lazy.

Another lesson learnt,fierce level increases.
